Michael "Mic" Bender, PT, DPT, OCS is a native of Lancaster County, PA.
He graduated with a B.S. in Health Science from Lebanon Valley College (LVC). While attending LVC, Mic enjoyed a successful tennis career, including winning a Mid-Atlantic Conference Singles Championship. Mic was also named a First Team, Division III Academic All-American.
His education continued at Shenandoah University where he earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Professionally, Mic began his practice career with the Lancaster General healthcare system. Later, he moved onto practice management with a clinic in York County, PA.
Mic has completed his board certification in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS). In practicing only 4 years to earn this distinction, Mic joined a class of less than 0.1% of active physical therapists.
Areas of specialization and interest for Mic include general orthopaedics, biomechanical analysis of the foot and ankle for orthotic management, and treatment of vertigo and balance disorders. Most recently, Mic earned certification in the ASTYMŽ technique, and he is presently the only clinician within 60 miles of Lancaster performing this technique.
Outside of the clinic, Mic continues to enjoy competitive tennis and running. He resides in Lancaster with his wife, Laura, and their dog, Brady.
